### So what is TV Rename?
TV Rename is a media management tool that runs on Windows 10 and later and looks after all your TV show and Movie files; making them presentable for [Kodi (XBMC)](https://kodi.tv/), [Mede8er](http://www.mede8er.eu/), [PyTivo](https://pytivo.sourceforge.io/wiki/index.php/PyTivo) and other media hubs.\
\
On the surface TV Rename will “fix” the names of TV shows…\
You have a few show episodes saved as video files, they have names like:\

**The.Shannara.Chronicles.S02E03.XviD-AFG.avi**\
\
Let's clean this up, including the season, show and episode details like:\

\

**Rename** files using data from [TMDB](https://www.themoviedb.org/), [The TVDB](http://thetvdb.com) and [TVmaze](https://www.tvmaze.com/) and rules you can configure\
**Monitor** specified folders for new TV show files\
\
***Media Library** - a folder (or folders) somewhere on your PC or NAS or whatever, with a bunch of TV show files in it (them).*\
